ELITE SKILLS TRAINING
Training will be led by Jennifer Eden, Assistant Coach of
Ramapo College Field Hockey, Jenny Tafro, Head Coach of
Ramapo College Field Hockey,& Christina Fabiano, Assistant Coach of Fairleigh Dickinson University
These trainings will focus on individual skills & team skills such as aerial passing, pops, reverse chip (tomahawk) pass/shot, shooting/passing off back foot, drag flicks, deceptive passes, energy on the pitch, game strategy, vision, & more. Goalies will be focusing on sliding/diving techniques, hand/eye coordination, accurate/clean clears, vision, verbal skills & more. We will also be offering some strength & agility training at these sessions.
**Trainings will not be made up in the case of inclement weather unless the facility closes**
Dates: Thursdays 2/20 - 4/2 | 6:00PM - 8:00PM

ABOUT OUR COACHES
Coach Eden played field hockey at Montclair State University. As a Red Hawk, she played defense and midfield for the team. Coach Eden was an integral part of a successful senior year in 2003. That year Montclair State field hockey qualified for NCAA tournament for the first time in the program's history. Coach Eden was awarded the student-athlete award by the NCAA, which recognizes student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA or higher. Coach Eden graduated from MSU with her Master’s in Education along with a Bachelor’s in History and Sociology. Eden is currently an Assistant Coach at Ramapo College. She has been coaching field hockey for 15 years, and most recently was the head coach of field hockey and lacrosse at Northern Valley Demarest before joining the staff at Northern Highlands. She has been a significant part of the recent success of the Northern Highlands field hockey team, who were co-league champs in 2017 and in 2018 were county and league champions. In 2018, Coach Eden opened Falcon Athletics with the goal of providing club teams, leagues, clinics, and equipment to the North Jersey area for girls & boys of all ages. She is USA Field Hockey Level 2 certified & coaches for USA Futures program.
Coach Tafro is a former two time All American at Montclair State University & holds numerous Red Hawk records. In 2013, she was named NJAC midfielder of the year and was an integral part of the Red Hawks capturing the conference crown in 2012 & 2013. Coach Tafro earned three NJAC First Team All-Conference honors and was also selected for the NJHCA South Atlantic First Team All-Region. In 2017, Ramapo College named Tafro the Head Coach of the field hockey team & she has been an essential part of the programs recent success. She is USA Field Hockey Level 2 certified & coaches for USA Futures program.
Coach Fabiano is a former First Team All Conference, First Team All-Region, & First Team All-American Goaltender at The College of New Jersey. In 2017, she was named Conference Goaltender of the Year. Coach Fabiano played for TCNJ from 2014-2017. In 2014, TCNJ won the NCAA Division III National Championship. During her time at TCNJ Coach Fabiano & her team were the New Jersey Athletic Conference Champions in 2014, 2015, 2016, & 2017. Most recently Coach Fabiano was appointed head coach of Glen Ridge High School & is also an Assistant Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University
