1) **NEW**Winter Indoor Tryouts U14-U19
**All U14-U19 players must tryout for winter indoor as space is limited**
What is indoor hockey? Indoor hockey is similar to outdoor hockey but played on a smaller field and on a faster paced surface vs turf. Indoor rules are slightly different from regular outdoor hockey and the format is 5 field players and a goalie due to the smaller playing area. There are also side boards that help keep the ball in play more and make for a faster more controlled game.
Why indoor hockey so beneficial?
- Master ball control | Develop speed & agility - Indoor hockey can help improve a player's stick handling skills due to the fast pace of the surface.
- Significantly improve hand-eye coordination & stick handling skills- Because indoor hockey is played on a hard surface such as hardwood floors, the pace is much faster therefore improving hand-eye coordination and reaction times. Indoor hockey can also help improve a player's stick handling skills as reaction times with the ball need to be quicker.
- Enhance decision making, sharpen your reflexes, become more versatile & become more disciplined.

2) **NEW** U10/U12 Winter Indoor Practices-
Come try something new and fun! Registration is on a first come first serve basis, spots are limited due to indoor space restrictions. No tryouts for our U10/U12 players (Ages 7-12)
Is it ok that my child has never played true indoor?
ABSOLUTELY! Our main goal for our U10 & U12 players is to introduce them to the rules of indoor, & also to build upon skills for those who have played indoor before! All levels are welcome to join our U10 & U12 practice teams!
U10& U12 Practices- Tuesdays- 12/9, 12/16 from 6:45-8:00pm & then 1/6- 2/24 from 6:45-8:00pm (10 practices)

3) Winter Skills & Scrimmages with College Coaches!
This training will focus on individual skills & team skills such as passing, pops, different types of shooting/passing, slices, deceptive passes, energy on the pitch, game strategy, vision, & more. Goalies will be focusing on sliding/diving techniques, hand/eye coordination, stacks, accurate/clean clears, vision, verbal skills & more. Most sessions will end with scrimmages for players to demonstrate the skills they learn each week. **There will be separate instruction for goalies & designated goalie coaches each week.**
This is an excellent opportunity to be coached by various College Coaches
(2025 College Coaches included Montclair State University, Ramapo College, Kean University, SUNY New Paltz, Stevens Institute, Fairleigh Dickinson University, & St. Thomas Aquinas College. 2026 College Coaches are TBD and will be posted soon)
Open To: Girls & Boys in grades 5-12 Players will be grouped by age/playing ability (GRADES 5-8) (GRADES 9-12)
**ONE FULL YEAR OF PLAYING EXPERIENCE IS RECOMMENDED. THIS TRAINING IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS.**
Location: Superdome Sports in Waldwick, NJ
Time: Mondays 6:45-8:00pm
Session 1= 12/1 - 1/5 ( five training dates)
Session 2= 1/12 - 2/9 ( five training dates)
Session 3= 2/16 - 3/16 ( five training dates)
Cost- $190 per session ; $35 discount automatically applied at checkout when you register for all three sessions.

4) Winter 2026 Goalie Academy
Open to: Players ages 9-18 (all playing abilities)
Location: SDA Sports | 1075 US-46 East | Clifton, NJ
Time: Sundays 6:00-7:30pm
Session 1= 1/4, 1/11, 1/25, & 2/1 (No session 1/18)
Session 2= 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, & 3/1
Description: Our Winter Goalie Academy will focus on individual skills & team skills such as sliding/diving techniques, hand/eye coordination, stacks, accurate/clean clears, 1v1 situations, corner play, vision, verbal skills & more. Goalies will have the opportunity to learn and refine their basic skills and then we will progress to more advanced skills. This is a great opportunity to refresh and expand your goalkeeping techniques this winter.(Players will be grouped by age &/or playing ability as deemed by our coaches.)

5) Winter Skills Academy 2026

Sessions will end with about 20 minutes of 7v7 scrimmages for players to demonstrate the skills they learn each week. **Training will be on turf**
Coaching will be led by current & former college coaches as well as current college players.
Open To: Girls & Boys in grades 5-12 Players will be grouped by age/playing ability (GRADES 5-8) (GRADES 9-12) **This training is open to all levels & playing abilities.**
